Industry research questionnaire

Circularity in the Danish Plastics Industry

Industrial materials, processing performance, supply chains and customer expectations

Approximately 10–15 minutes   English-language survey

This survey examines how Danish plastics companies use recycled polymers, the technical implications for their production processes, and the factors enabling or limiting circularity.

Please respond on behalf of your Danish plastics-related operations. Estimates are welcome. Questions about your experience will adapt based on whether your company uses recycled polymers.

Research and privacy notice: Responses are sent via FormSubmit.co, an external form-delivery service, to torbento@btech.au.dk. Do not include personal or confidential company information in free-text responses. The survey owner must confirm an appropriate privacy notice, retention policy and institutional approval before public distribution. FormSubmit email activation is required before responses arrive.

B. Circular materials

Definition: recycled materials include internal regrind, post-industrial recyclate and post-consumer recyclate. Virgin bio-based materials are not automatically recycled.

C. Experiences with recycled polymers

For commercial users and companies conducting pilot production.

Estimate by mass; aim for 100% across C1a–C1e.
Informational only: do not add to physical throughput percentages.

AssessmentChoose a response
Increasing recycled content is strategically important
Circularity is technically feasible for many of our products
Our equipment can handle more recycled content without major investment
Customers will pay more for higher recycled content
Customers accept reasonable non-functional appearance differences
Material-quality uncertainty is a greater obstacle than price
Value-chain collaboration is essential
Clearer standards and traceability would accelerate adoption
Current economics favour virgin polymers
Circular materials will be more important to us within five years
